Kayaking

Guide - White Water Grade 3

 

 

An outdoor activity consisting of paddling a small water craft with a double bladed paddle, through water with some moderate, irregular sized waves. This activity requires a higher level of skill than "Guide - White Water Grade 2".This activity may include day and overnight kayaking trips.

Career Pathway:

Units provide credit towards Cert IV in Outdoor Recreation (SIS40310)

Course Duration:

Maximum of 6 months from commencement

Entry Requirment:

HSC (year 12) or a mature background

Note:

HLTFA301B Apply First Aid is a pre-requisite for all courses

Additional Pre-Requisite

SISOOPS305A Provide First Aid in a remote location (remote/wilderness first aid)

 

Units of Competency delivered in this course are endorsed skill sets associated with the ATQF training package

On-Line Web-based Learner Guides & Exams

Note: The Elearning Units Packaged course price is equivalent to $70.00 per Unit of Competency. Single units of competency are charged at a premium rate.

E-Learning forms part of the assessment process; you will be required to demonstrate that you have an understanding of the knowledge in relation to these Units of Competency. These units will be assessed holistically in conjunction with the Face-to-Face component of this course.

Practical Units (face-to-face) only - $750.00

2 x blocks of 2 days practical training and/or assessment

Documented and Verifiable work experience or logged practice sessions (approx. 30 hours) will be required and form an integral part of the assessment process.
