Horse Riding - Trail Rides
Trail Boss - Overnight Rides
An outdoor activity, consisting of being a senior guide or leader of overnight or extended horse trail rides.The Trail Boss operates in various locations and may develop operating proceedures to suit the goals of the activity. They have the overall responsibility for the wellbeing of the participants and horses before,during and at the conclusion of the activity. They are responsible for the other guides accompanying the ride. On overnight trail rides the selection and use of campsites or accommodation modes is also their responsibility.

Units provide credit towards Cert IV in Outdoor Recreation (SIS40310)
Course Duration:
Maximum of 6 months from commencement
Entry Requirment:
HSC (year 12) or a mature background

HLTFA301B Apply First Aid is a pre-requisite for all courses

SISOOPS305A Provide First Aid in a remote location (remote/wilderness first aid)

E-Learning forms part of the assessment process; you will be required to demonstrate that you have an understanding of the knowledge in relation to these Units of Competency. These units will be assessed holistically in conjunction with the Face-to-Face component of this course. |
