Horse Riding

Assistant Instructor

 

 

An outdoor activity, consisting of being an assistant to riding instructor. The assistant will assist the instructor in preparing the horses for riding by dependent participants. This may include watering and feeding the horses, storing and applying items of saddellery and working under supervision during horse riding lessoins.

Career Pathway:

Units provide credit towards Cert II in Outdoor Recreation (SIS20210)

Course Duration:

Maximum of 6 months from commencement

HLTFA301B Apply First Aid is a pre-requisite for all courses

 

 

Units of Competency delivered in this course are endorsed skill sets associated with the ATQF training package

E-Learning (web-based) only - $140.00

On-Line Web-based Learner Guides & Exams

Note: The Elearning Units Packaged course price is equivalent to $70.00 per Unit of Competency. Single units of competency are charged at a premium rate.

E-Learning forms part of the assessment process; you will be required to demonstrate that you have an understanding of the knowledge in relation to these Units of Competency. These units will be assessed holistically in conjunction with the Face-to-Face component of this course.

Practical Units (face-to-face) only - $750.00

2 x blocks of 2 days practical training and/or assessment

Documented and Verifiable work experience or logged practice sessions (approx. 30 hours) will be required and form an integral part of the assessment process.
