Caving
Guide Single Pitch

An outdoor activity consisting of moving through a natural cave (a natural cave is one which is in its natural state and does not have prepared walkways or pre-placed lighting) and ascent or descent from one level within the cave to another. In this activity, any ascents or descents would involve distances of no greater than one rope length, or "pitch". The activity requires the ability to know where you are within the cave, at all times and by use of a map and compass, to be able to find the best way to move from one location to another within the cave.
Career Pathway:
Units provide credit towards Cert III in Outdoor Recreation (SIS30410)
Course Duration:
Maximum of 6 months from commencement
Entry Requirment:
HSC (year 12) or a mature background

HLTFA301B Apply First Aid is a pre-requisite for all courses
