We have available the opportunity for your school to participate in a Board of Studies endorsed courses available for
Certificate II in Sport & Recreation
Certificate II in Outdoor Recreation
These courses are a total of 240 HSC indicative hours and are equivalent to 4 units of HSC credit.
Students are required to complete a mandatory 70-hour work placement/volunteer within an area of the sport & recreation and/or outdoor recreation industry. Given the diversity of the industries, the students are able to get a taste of employment in areas of: Health & community services; Science & research; Education & training; Retail etc
Work Place/Volunteer options could include:
Assisting local sports club at training sessions/games – students to assist in setting up equipment, accounting for and storing equipment, marshalling or assisting with registrations, etc
Assisting at local Little Athletics, Sports Clubs, School Holiday programs etc
Both the Sport & Recreation and the Outdoor Recreation subject are cross curricular – meaning that the content covered in the subject’s links closely to topics covered in other subjects.
Our E-Learning facility was purpose written to deliver courses to students, of all ages and backgrounds, in a manner that assesses their knowledge, rather than their English expression skills. As such, it is ideally suited to individuals who experience difficulty in confidently expressing themselves through writing.
As the E-Learning facility is web based, it is available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week and may be accessed from any location with access to the internet.
Students are able to work at their own pace, not only at school but in their own home. Teachers have the opportunity to remotely monitor each individual student’s progress at any time; parents are also able to play a role in their children’s learning.
We currently have the facility available at our first client school, Riverina Anglican College and they have enrolled their students for a second year. The Scots College at Bellevue Hill have also gained Board of Studies Approval for Outdoor Recreation and are currently enrolling their first class of students.
These courses are available at a discounted rate for classroom size enrolments.
We are a nationally Registered Training Organisation (National Provider number # 90473) and we specialise in the provision of training in the Outdoor Recreation and Sport and Recreation sectors, to clients in all states in Australia.
If this sounds like the facility you have been looking for, please contact us for a more detailed explanation of the system or a demonstration of its capabilities.
