National Industry Training Package:
Training packages are sets of nationally-endorsed standards and qualifications for recognising and assessing people's skills.
They set a national industry standard for skills, and are now used as the basis for most of the programs delivered in the vocational
education and training system, including Australian Apprenticeships, training courses, VET in schools programs, recognition of existing skills, and occupational licensing.
Assessment Guidelines provide a framework in which accurate, reliable and valid assessment of the applicable competency standards may take place. National Qualifications are awarded when a client has been assessed as achieving a combination of competency standards at a nominated level.
Where a client has achieved less than the full combination of competency standards for a full qualification to be issued, that individual is awarded a Statement of Attainment/Skills Sets.
Traineeships:
Traineeships combine paid work and structured training. They allow you to learn a trade or workplace skill and receive a nationally accredited qualification. Traineeships usually last one year.
Traineeships may include:
- Paid employment under an appropriate industrial arrangement
- A training agreement between the employer and apprentice or trainee which is registered with the NSW Department of Education and Communities
- Structured on-the-job training
- A training program, delivered by a Registered Training Organisation (such as ourselves), through which you will gain a nationally recognised qualification.
