Government Subsidised Courses for eligible NSW residents

Smart and Skilled Courses

Smart and Skilled qualifications are subsidised by the NSW Government. Eligible students can select the following qualification only:

 

Certificate II in Outdoor Recreation

Certificate III in Outdoor Leadership

Certificate III in Sport, Aquatics and recreation

Certificate IV in Outdoor Leadership

 

How to apply for a Smart and Skilled Course

To apply for a Government-subsidised Smart and Skilled course, follow these simple 3 steps

1. Check and confirm your eligibility at the NSW Smart and Skilled website

2. Download and complete the application form

3. Return completed form, along with required documentation to info@outdoortrainingcollege.com.au

 

Eligibility

To be eligible for a government subsidised course you must be:

- An Australian citizen, permanent resident or humanitarian visa holder or New Zealand citizen

- Aged 18 years or older (outdoor recreation industry requirement)

- No longer at school

- Living or work in NSW

- Students with a Certificate IV or higher qualification will be able to access subsidised Smart and Skilled training up to Certificate III level. This means that even if you have a higher level qualification you may still be eligible to re-train to enter (or re-enter) the workforce.

Smart and Skilled Fees

Eligible Smart and Skilled students contribute to the course costs known as the student contribution fee. Smart and Skilled contribution fees are for the whole qualification and are payable at the commnencement of your course. View Contribution fees

About Smart and Skilled
