What is E-Program?
The E-Program is a web based application, there are NO hardware or Operating System compatibility issues, all you require is access to the internet. This could be via a Desk Top, lap top, iPad, iPhone or any other devices with internet connection. Updates on software are automatic and there is no need to purchase upgrades therefore future proofing your data and application
So… What is activity and event logging?
Activity and Event logging is a process which:
- Electronically records the activities and events conducted by an organisation
- Matches up the requirements for staff numbers and qualifications
- Records risks which may be present at defined locations
- Records any incidents which may have occurred during the conduct of activities
- Allows rapid and efficient retrieval of information recorded

What are the common weaknesses in Event/ Incident recording?
The two main weaknesses in the current methods that organisations use to record and retrieve data are
- Inaccurate or incomplete recording or failure to record incidents
- Records are kept in a manner that does not provide safe storage and easy retrieval for more than 20 years.
Why 20 years, say you have a student on your camp aged 10, now let us do the mathematics. 8 years till they are 18 and then 7 years after that time they are allowed to bring forward any accident / negligence claims = 15 years and this is if they are 10 what about younger? Does your organisation have the ability to recall documented irrefutable information on a particular program date? The E-Program will allow your organisation to do this.
What is required resolving this?
A simple to use, electronic recording and retrieval facility that allows you to:
- Log information about events or programs you conduct within your organisation
- Record information about the event or program about incidents and your handling of these incidents and or accidents
- Store the information indefinitely
- Retrieve the information, at short notice, using a variety of recall “keys”
The solution
Above and Below Adventure Company has taken our 30 years experience in the IT sector and combined it with our 40 years experience in the Outdoor Recreation sector, running and coordinating programs to training and assessment to qualified people, and created a web based recording system for events and program management
The facility is:
- Internet based – you can access it from anywhere that is connected to the internet and utilising any device that can access the internet all you require is your login details and password
- Flexible – it contains the collection of data that you may add information to, change or delete as required.
- The event / program logging facility records information relating to the way in which Events and or Programs are conducted within your organisation
- The system allows setting up “standard” information and then allows this to be used to construct more detailed information about:
- Locations, Clients, Events and Incidents, Communications coverage, Emergency access ...
When will it be available?
The facility has been created as a “proof of concept” and is the next application for development under the Above and Below Adventure Company’s “E” software
